Setting up a website, what is required?

By April 22, 2016 Blog No Comments

Have you an idea for a business? Rearing to go? You want to get online immediately and start promoting your business. But sometimes the process slows down or comes to a complete standstill as information has to be sourced and services finalised 100%.

What can you do before you meet your designer and what will they need from you?

Normally clients provide written content, images, logo/branding guidelines and a design brief detailing the pages. But don’t worry if you haven’t pulled all this together yet.  We offer branding, logo design, professional photography and copy writing as part of the service if required.

Ideally with a new business, we love to get involved before the name is chosen and registered with CRO. Because we can research the implications of your name online i.e. purchase of the .ie and .com and if the name is available on social media.

We can also assist you with tweaking your content to better suit search engine optimisation.

One piece of advice we can offer is to try and write down the title of your service and 100 words about the service. This will making it much easier for your marketeer or designer to quickly understand your business and services/products.

We are also a marketing mentor with Sligo Local Enterprise Office and Mayo Local Enterprise office who offer excellent services to start up businesses.

What Our Clients Say About Us

“I had the pleasure of working with Marie Brouder of Brouder Design on the complete re-design of my website – in the last quarter of 2013. She brings energy, enthusiasm and sound practical advice to her work and at the same time she listened to my views about what I wanted and how the website should look and feel. Marie is thoroughly professional, well organised and hugely resourceful...” Mary Darlington, Director
